Medtronic named in top Australian companies list

Medtronic Australasia has been named as one of the 25 best workplaces to grow your career in LinkedIn's Top 2021 Companies in Australia.

The annual list published by LinkedIn News Australia uses the networking website's own data tohighlight companies that attract – and more importantly – invest in their talent.

It also celebrates companies with cultures that put employees first and give them opportunities to grow.

Medtronic Australasia, part of the leading global healthcare technology group, was recognised for setting up flexible working arrangements that made it well prepared when the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020.

Its YESFlex initiative, including robust work-from-home measures, was designed to empower every individual atMedtronic to achieve work-life balance.

Medtronic, which employs 865 people in Australia, was also praised by LinkedIn for quickly enabling remote monitoring and telehealth services for customers and patients when the pandemic hit.

It also publicly shared design specifications for one of its ventilators at a time when demand for the equipment was outstripping supply, and partnered with Victoria-based company Jigsawto deliver a series of 3D assembly and maintenance training guides that have been accessed more than 20,000 times by 7,000-plus manufacturers.
