Health industry super fund HESTA has created a new managerial role as part of its commitment tomaximising member returns and enhancing strategic planning.
Alissa Knight took up the new position of General Manager Strategic Planning in June 2024, in support of HESTA's Executive Leadership team.

"Her proven track record in strategy execution roles and her previous contract work with HESTA, position her well to drive positive outcomes for members."
Ms Knight worked as a solicitor before moving into various strategy-related roles, working for AIA Australia for 16 years before her most recent job heading up the Strategy and CEO Office at industry fund legalsuper.
"I am keen to contribute to the fund's ongoing success by leveraging my skills and experience to drive positive outcomes for our members," she said.
Chief Strategy Officer Sam Harris said Ms Knight's appointment reflected the importance of enhancing planning processes to ultimately deliver positive outcomes for HESTA's more than one million members.
One of the largest superannuation funds dedicated to Australia's health and community services sector, it manages around $83 billion in assets invested around the world.
"Alissa's leadership and strategy execution experience will be instrumental in further solidifying HESTA's position as a leading industry fund," Mr Harris said.
