Melbourne's Frances Perry House is taking its maternity experience to a new level, launching a partnership with a luxury five-star hotel.
The private hospital is offering new parents the chance to spend two nights at the InterContinental Rialto on Collins St in the inner city.
Its new hotel program covers meals, valet parking, and a daily visit from a Frances Perry House midwife.
"We have been working with our doctors, staff, and patients over the past year to design a hotel program that aligns with our strong focus on patient safety," CEO Kerry May said.
"The beautiful and historic InterContinental Hotel, Rialto will allow parents and their new bub a quiet, comfortable place to bond before they head home."

The InterContinental, based in the refurbished Wool Exchange building that dates back to 1891, is located 2.5 kilometres south of the Ramsay Health Care facility.
Ms May said patients would start their hotel experience after receiving clearance from their obstetrician and paediatrician.
"The program is designed for patients who are safe to be discharged from our care," she said.
"Mothers and babies requiring ongoing care from our nurses, allied health staff or doctors will remain with us here at Frances Perry House."
