The APHA extends a warm invitation for you to join us for the 2026 National Congress at the Adelaide Convention Centre, running over 26-28 May.

Whether a returning delegate or thinking of coming for the first time, the 2026 Congress will tackle head-on the real issues confronting the healthcare sector in Australia and private hospitals' irreplaceable part in it.

Is there a segment of the Australian healthcare sector that is not in crisis?

For private hospitals part, the sector continues to face major challenges and the APHA Congress will consider what needs to change if Australia is to maintain its world-leading healthcare status.

In addition, the Congress offers an opportunity to look forward to what the future holds for healthcare, what technological advances are headed our way? What are the opportunities and challenges these new technologies present? And what should the sector do to be ready for them?

Private hospitals are renowned for their ground-breaking innovation, embracing cutting-edge technologies – the first robotic surgery in Australia was performed at Epworth Richmond. What's coming next?

These issues and others will be the subject of panel discussions, keynote addresses and many conversations on the sidelines of the event. The APHA Congress will hear from experts in their fields, hospital representatives and some inspirational speakers.

Taking the APHA Congress event to Adelaide gives hospital executives an opportunity to step back from their everyday roles running private hospitals and consider the broader issues impacting their operations and the sector. It will also provide a number of great networking opportunities.

The 2026 APHA Gala Dinner will be one such networking event. A host of other events, including the addition of a new wine time event will provide numerous chances for vendors and delegates to meet. This APHA Congress will bring together hospital leaders, experts and representatives from across Australia's health system.

APHA looks forward to welcoming you to the APHA 43rd National Congress next May.
