Hospital's coffee project provides opportunities

Monday 13th April, 2026

Stuart Winters, Jo Brown and Lloyd Hill from Ramsay Health Care were among the attendees at the launch of the coffee cart initiative at Dudley Private Hospital

Dudley Private Hospital has partnered in a new project to provide work opportunities for people with disability in New South Wales' Orange community and surrounding regions.

The Ramsay Health Care facility is hosting a supported employment coffee cart in its main foyer, in collaboration with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider Wangarang.

"Our hospital is a place of care, but it is also part of the community we serve, and initiatives like this create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to build skills and confidence in a real workplace environment," Dudley Private Hospital CEO Jo Brown said.

"Dudley Private Hospital and Ramsay Health Care are pleased to partner with Wangarang to support training and employment pathways while providing a great service for our staff, patients and visitors."

The coffee cart will operate Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 11:30am, and trading hours may be extended in response to demand.

Wangarang CEO Chris Rawlins encouraged people in the Central Tablelands city to support the initiative.

"While this is a business, it is also an essential training platform. I'd like to thank Dudley Private Hospital for partnering with us and helping bring this concept to life," he said.

"As Orange continues to grow as a modern regional city with a strong hospitality and tourism focus, it's important that our participants gain relevant, real-world skills."
